DISTRACTED DRIVING PSA CAMPAIGN WINS SILVER CLIO
Created for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and the Auto Alliance, the national public service (PSA)
campaign is designed to spread awareness of the importance of driver focus behind the wheel. AL&H created all the
ads -- TV, radio, print and outdoor, and led the design for the campaign's interactive website,
www.decidetodrive.org. The work can be viewed at
http://www.decidetodrive.org/campaign-details/.
In less than a year, the PSA campaign has already garnered upwards of $10 million in free media exposure.

ALH CREATIVE FEATURED ON LOCAL TV NEWS Ð OMG!
During Fall of 2010, DC hosted a national distracted driving summit. During the week long event, DC residents noticed a collection of
Metro busses dramatically wrapped with carnage and chaos. The graphics on the buses were originally developed for AL&H's
long-standing client, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) as PSA ads for bus shelters and airport dioramas, to serve
as a warning against distracted driving. The Automotive Alliance, in partnership AAOS, asked us to re-work the art for bus applications
specifically for the recent Distracted Driving Summit. The copy didn't mince words: “OMG. Get the message. Texting while driving
is a deadly distraction.” DOT Secretary Ray LaHood featured this message on the Summit's Distracted Website.

Our Distracted Driving campaign is driving attention in Times Square with an oversize, back-lit diorama. Since the only traffic in Times
Square these days is on foot, pedestrians needed to "get the message" and remember it - all the way back to their cars.
